At Camp Nomacca, the safety and well-being of our campers are our highest priorities. We believe in transparency and clear communication, which is why we've outlined our core policies here for your review and peace of mind. Camp Participation Policies

Camper Behavior

Respectful interaction with peers and staff is required.
Bullying or aggressive behavior is not tolerated.
As stated and signed on the camper registration, the camper will particpate in all camp activities.

Boundaries/Camp Property Stay away from the road entering camp Stay away from the fence Stay away from the dirt pond PDA (public OR private display of affection) NOT ALLOWED Dress Code No spaghetti straps (anything smaller than 1”) All shorts must be appropriate length Guys need to have shirts on unless swimming No two-piece bathing suits for girls No midriff/lower back for anyone Anything that qualifies into the category of underwear needs to be kept under something. Guys, this includes boxers. No cleavage No leggings as pants. When wearing leggings or overly tight pants, your butt must be covered. Pranks Please do not encourage pranks unless approved by the Director Girls’ Cabins/Guys’ Cabins No girls in guys’ cabins No guys’ in girls cabins No guys past the camper showers Hygiene Check with your director about the desired amount of water & soap experiences during the week for campers. Recommended- Intermediate & Senior Camp- every other day Please limit use of Tag, Axe, and other deodorant sprays. Some people are allergic to these products. Encourage cleanliness Early Risers Check to see if your director has a time when they don’t want campers out of their cabins before. Things that are not allowed at Camp NOMACCA Pornography Drugs Alcohol Weapons Secular music (unless allowed by the director for a specific situation) Fireworks Water guns & water balloons Tabacco, vapes, zyn, etc Marijuana in any forms (including CBD Products) Leave a Legacy Campers are allowed to write their names on cabin walls and the Dining Hall Please DO NOT write names in the Tabernacle No visitors unless during an open invitation, i.e. – skit and talent night or the closing program. (expressed specifically by the director)

Camp NOAMCCA Cell Phone Policy

To ensure a safe, focused, and engaging camp experience for all campers, Camp NOMACCA maintains a No Cell Phone Policy.

Policy

All cell phones and personal electronic communication devices should be left at home. Campers are encouraged to disconnect from technology and fully participate in camp activities.
If a camper brings a cell phone to camp, the phone will be collected upon arrival and secured in a camp locker for the duration of camp.
Campers who need to make a phone call may do so by using:
- The Camp Director’s phone,
- The camper’s own cell phone (if it was brought to camp) only under the direct supervision of a staff member, after retrieving it from the camp phone locker.
Parents/guardians who need to contact a camper should do so through the camp landline or Camp Director.

Why We Have This Policy

The no-phone policy exists for several important reasons:

Safety: Staff must be able to account for campers and manage communication during activities and emergencies. Limiting personal phone use helps maintain a secure environment.
Compliance with Camp Policy: Camp NOMACCA is committed to creating a structured environment where all campers follow the same expectations and guidelines.
Presence at Camp: One of the greatest benefits of camp is building friendships, participating in activities, and engaging with God and others without the distractions of technology. Removing phones helps campers be fully present and make the most of their camp experience.

We appreciate the cooperation of campers and parents in supporting this policy and helping Camp NOMACCA provide a meaningful, safe, and memorable camp experience for everyone.
